Valentine’s Day, The day some know as the day of love, and others take as the day to be miserable and be depressed because they have no one to spend time with on this day. It all started back when the Christian and ancient Roman made it a tradition. One story has claimed that Valentine(priest) was trying to temporize Emperor Claudius theory of single men made better soldiers than those with wives and ended up outlawing marriage for young men. Valentine objected and insisted on still continuing young marriage, but under the table. When he was caught, Claudius ordered that he be put to death. St.Valentines skull now resides in the Chiesa di Santa Maria in Cosmedin, on Rome’s Piazza Bocca della Verita.
One group of people told the chronicle that this day is celebrated in the middle of February to respect the death of Valentine that happened around A.D 270. The start the festival, Luperci members would gather at a sacred cave where the founders of Rome, were believed to have been cared for by a lupa. The priest would perform a ritual on a goat and dog. Valentine’s day goes all the way back to the Middle Ages, but actual Valentines being written didn’t happen until after 1400. The oldest poem was written in 1415 by Charles to his wife while he was in prison.
To conclude I think that you should make your Valentine’s day a diurnal day filled with love and happiness. In my opinion, I don’t look at this day as any temporal day. You should take sojourns to your loved ones near you and just remind that they’re loved just because you don’t know how they feel about that day and the suicide, even if what you do is extemporaneous, it’s the thought that counts! Some people take a no Valentine as a minor issue, but others find it harder to go through their day due to “Broken heart syndrome” which can potentially cause chest pains and mimic a heart attack. They’re roughly reported 200 more calls on the suicide hotline in Missouri. Valentine’s day isn’t for everybody, but you should make it feel like it is for everybody through the little things. Don’t temporize to make your decision to go out and get out there!
